4月18日、19日の両日で「SL福が満開ふくしま号」というD51+旧型客車の臨時列車が運転されていますが、14日～16日に行われた試運転を見に行ってきました。
あいにく、風が強くて雲も多いというSLの撮影には向かない天候でしたが、くっきりではないにせよ磐梯山も一応見えました。また、会津若松方面はまだ桜は開花していませんでしたが、郡山市では満開でした。

I visited Ban' Etsu West Line to see "SL Fukushima Full of Happiness Train" operated with D51 type steam locomotive and old fashioned passenger cars. The trial run was operated on 14 - 16 April and the commercial service train is operated on 18 and 19 April.
Unfortunately the weather condition was not so excellent. The wind was strong enough to blow the steam and smoke of SL and the sky was clouded. However, I could take picture of the train with Bandai Mountain even though the mountain was not clearly seen. And cherry blossoms in Koriyama city was fully bloomed. In contrast, in the mountainous area and Aizu region, cherry blossoms were not bloomed yet.
余談になりますが、ちょっと気になったのが、郡山市内で、「道路の除染をしています」という立て看板を何度か目にしたことです。原発事故から既に4年が経ちましたが、郡山市の市街地でもいまだに除染が必要な場所というのは結構存在しているんですね。（気になったので郡山市のウェブサイトで確認したところ、確かに、道路の除染作業を行っているようです。また、郡山市の地理情報システム上の郡山市放射線量モニタリングマップを見ると、確かに空間線量が0.5μSv/h程度で、除染の対象となるところも散見されます。なお、除染の対象となるのは、0.23μSv/h以上の場所だそうです。）
「福が満開ふくしま号」という列車名とのギャップにちょっと驚かされました。大変ですね。
By the way, I noticed there are some sign boards to inform the local authority is currently decontaminating radioactive material on roads in Koriyama city. Four years have passed already after the nuclear accident of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. But there are still some places where decontamination is necessary. (I checked the official website of Koriyama city and exactly the local authority is decontaminating the roads. Also on the Radiation Levels Monitoring Map in Koriyama-city <Japanese> , we can see some places are still around 0.5μSv/h where the decontamination is needed. The criteria of the decontamination is above 0.23μSv/h.)
I was surprised the gap between the name of "Fukushima Full of Happiness" and the reality of condition of radio-active contamination in the central Fukushima prefecture. It's still a hard condition for those who live in Koriyama city.
