中部ジャワの蒸気機関車 Sumberharjo砂糖工場（１） Steam Locomotives in the Central Java, Sumberharjo Sugar Factory (1)

インドネシアのジャワ島には、まだ現役で使われ続けている小型の蒸気機関車がたくさん残っています。たくさん残っているとはいっても、そのほとんどは砂糖工場の専用線で使われており、走行している区間はそう長くはありません。
しかし、長い間大切に使われている蒸気機関車には、それぞれの工場ごとに特徴があり、マニア心をくすぐります。

独特の色使いで塗装されたかわいい機関車たちが、末永く活躍することを祈りましょう。

In Java Island in Indonesia, there are many small steam locomotives working in sugar cane field. Many locomotives are still working but the distance of each line is not so long. Mainly they carry harvested sugar cane from fields to factories only.

However, each sugar factory has maintained the locomotives very well and the locomotives in each factory have own characteristic.

Let's hope these tiny steam locomotives colored uniquely survive and work forever.
