中国 遼寧省阜新市の蒸気機関車（１） 夜明けの平安駅

遼寧省阜新市は、炭鉱の街で、現役の蒸気機関車がまだ活躍しています。ほとんどが貨物列車の牽引ですが、一部の通勤用旅客列車は蒸気機関車が牽引しています。

稼働している機関車は上游（Shangyou = SY）型です。

今回の撮影場所は、こちらになります。

朝一番の貨物列車

ちょっとわかりにくくてすいませんが、これが朝一の通勤列車です。
1月だと朝7時でこれくらいの明るさです。

Pangkahの蒸気機関車は、オレンジ色で塗装されています。薪とサトウキビの絞りかすを燃料に使用しています。

The locomotives at Pangkah are painted orange. Wood fuel and squeezed sugarcane are used for the steam locomotives here.

数台の機関車が同時に走行することもあります。
Several locomotives run at same time sometimes.

機関車の前に取りついている鉄道員が線路に砂をまきながら走っています。

インドネシアのジャワ島には、まだ現役で使われ続けている小型の蒸気機関車がたくさん残っています。たくさん残っているとはいっても、そのほとんどは砂糖工場の専用線で使われており、走行している区間はそう長くはありません。
しかし、長い間大切に使われている蒸気機関車には、それぞれの工場ごとに特徴があり、マニア心をくすぐります。

独特の色使いで塗装されたかわいい機関車たちが、末永く活躍することを祈りましょう。

In Java Island in Indonesia, there are many small steam locomotives working in sugar cane field. Many locomotives are still working but the distance of each line is not so long. Mainly they carry harvested sugar cane from fields to factories only.

However, each sugar factory has maintained the locomotives very well and the locomotives in each factory have own characteristic.

Let's hope these tiny steam locomotives colored uniquely survive and work forever.
