年末に新疆ウイグル自治区哈密市の三道嶺に出かけてきました。

ここはかねてより、SLが露天掘りの炭鉱の周囲をウジャウジャ走り回っている場所として、内蒙古のジャライノールと並んで有名なところでしたが、ついに終焉を迎えつつあるようです。

In December 2014, I visited Sandaoling Coal Mine Railway in Hami city in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

This place is famous as many steam engines around open-pit coal mine, as well as Jalainur in Inner Mongolia. However, it seems to be going to end.

今年もサトウキビの収穫の時期がやってきました。残念ながら今年はまだ行けていないのですが、シーズン中にスキを見てちょっと行ってこようと思っています。どこに行くかはまだ検討中ですが、今度は東ジャワにしようかな……

The harvest season of sugarcane has come in Indonesia. Unfortunately, I have not been there in this season but I will visit there someday when I can have spare time. I have not decided where to go. I would go to East Java, if possible.

By the way, I introduce some pictures which I have not posted on this blog. These pictures were taken in July 2013.

前々回で羽越線のSLひな街道の記事を書きましたが、今回はその回送です。
今年のSLひな街道は旧型客車による運行で、高崎から新津までの回送をEF64が牽引しました。噂ではEF81が牽引するということだったのですが、やってきたのはEF64でした。

上越線の越後湯沢のあたりは3月も下旬だというのに豪雪で、ごらんのような写真となりました。

翌日は、村上⇔坂町間の回送をEF81が牽引しました。村上駅には転車台がないので、転車台のある坂町駅まで往復することになります。そのため、村上到着後、EF81に牽引されて坂町駅の転車台で方向転換して、また村上駅に戻ってきます。EF81が羽越線で旧型客車を牽引したのは三十年ぶりくらいじゃないですかね。

関東地方も急に暖かくなり、先週末から桜が咲き出しました。大井川鐵道の沿線でも桜が満開だということでしたので、花見がてらに出かけてきました。

一応天候を見て、晴れの日を選んで出かけたつもりだったのですが、残念ながらスカッとした好天には恵まれませんでした。光線が良ければもっとメリハリの効いた写真になったと思うのですが、こればかりはどうしようもありませんね。やはり写真は場数だということを痛感した次第。

しかし、桜とSLというのは露出と現像が難しいですね。オリンパスの諧調オートでの撮って出しJPEGはほとんど全滅で、一応粘ってはいるのですが、桜が白とび寸前で無理矢理粘っているようなちょっと不自然な感じになっていました。RAW現像での調整が必須な気がします。好天でコントラストが高かったらもっと難しいのではないかと思います。

It was said the cherry blossoms at Oigawa railway was in full bloom in the end of March. I visited there to see the cherry blossoms and steam trains.

I chose a fine day to visit but unfortunately it was not very fine. If it was clear weather, I could get sharp images. I'm sorry. To get good image, the most important effort is to spend considerable time.

This time, I recognized the difficulty of exposure and development of cherry blossoms and steam locomotives. I chose automatic tone mode of E-M1 but it was not so good. The highlight of cherry blossom was unnatural. I think that development work on PC is necessary. If it was very fine weather and sunshine was stronger, it would be more difficult to get appropriate exposure.
